Mondale rips Cheney for giving bad advice to Bush
From the "You've got to be kidding me
Mondale was the VP during the Carter administration, and is arguably the only man who outdid Carter in terms of being a neutered weakling in DC."If I had done as vice president what this vice president has done, Carter would have thrown me out of there," Mondale said.
That's because you, Mondale, are a weak-kneed spineless coward. You need to have a spine, courage and guts to act like Cheney, none of which are part of your limp-wristed personality.VS

Republican Presidential Victory in 2008 now Guaranteed
Barack Obama announces run for White House
Suddenly, all the hype about Barak Hussein Obama makes perfect sense. The Democrats have been hying him in the hope of running him for President in 2008. This has been known, but the fact that he's officially thrown his hat into the ring is the news. They've confessed their idiot plans.
It doesn't really matter WHO The Republicans run for President in 2008. His victory is now all but guaranteed. The Democrats are clearly planning to offer two options.
Their first option, is Hillary Clinton, the single most reviled Democrat in recent memory. Even those who've abandoned Bush as a result for the Democrat Culture war against him will flock back to The Republican fold once they're confronted with an outright Socialist / Communist running for the office.
The second option is an inexperienced Freshman legislator with little real world experience. To make matters worse, his race guarantees that much of White America will vote for whoever the Republicans run if for no other reason than to avoid having a Black president.
Let's be blunt folks, you have to be a Christian heterosexual white male to get elected to the US Presidency. Generally, you have to be Protestant as well, but it's not unheard of for a Catholic to slip by, with sufficient voter fraud that is.
Hillary, being a female atheist is right out, even before her USSR style politics come into play.
Obama? Yeah, a black Muslim will be elected to the Presidency of the United States of America in a post 9/11 world. Riiight. Keep holding your breath Democrats. Current Mood: amused

America WAKE UP!
That's what we think we heard on the 11th of September 2001 and maybe it was, but I think it should have been "Get Out of Bed!" In fact, I think the alarm clock has been buzzing since 1979 and we have continued to hit the snooze button and roll over for a few more minutes of peaceful sleep since then.
It was a cool fall day in November 1979 in a country going through a religious and political upheaval when a group of Iranian students attacked and seized the American Embassy in Tehran. This seizure was an outright attack on American soil; it was an attack that held the world's most powerful country hostage and paralyzed a Presidency. The attack on this sovereign US embassy set the stage for the events to follow for the next 23 years.
America was still reeling from the aftermath of the Viet Nam experience and had a serious threat from the Soviet Union when then, President Carter, had to do something. He chose to conduct a clandestine raid in the desert. The ill-fated mission ended in ruin, but stood as a symbol of America's inability to deal with terrorism. America's military had been decimated and downsized / right sized since the end of the Viet Nam war. A poorly trained, poorly equipped and poorly organized military was called on to execute a complex mission that was doomed from the start.
Shortly after the Tehran experience, Americans began to be kidnapped and killed throughout the Middle East. America could do little to protect her citizens living and working abroad. The attacks against US soil continued.
In April of 1983 a large vehicle packed with high explosives was driven into the US Embassy compound in Beirut. When it explodes, it kills 63 people. The alarm went off again and America hit the Snooze Button once more. Then just six short months later a large truck heavily laden down with over 2500 pounds of TNT smashed through the main gate of the US Marine Corps headquarters in Beirut. 241 US servicemen are killed. America mourns her dead and hit the Snooze Button once more. Two months later in December 1983, another truck loaded with explosives is driven into the US Embassy in Kuwait, and America continues her slumber. The following year, in September 1984, another van was driven into the gates of the US Embassy in Beirut and America slept.
Soon the terrorism spreads to Europe. In April 1985 a bomb explodes in a restaurant frequented by US soldiers in Madrid. Then in August a Volkswagen loaded with explosives is driven into the main gate of the US Air Force Base at Rhein-Main, 22 are killed and the Snooze Alarm is buzzing louder and louder as US soil is continually attacked. Fifty-nine days later a cruise ship, the Achille Lauro is hijacked and we watched as an American in a wheelchair is singled out of the passenger list and executed. The terrorists then shift their tactics to bombing civilian airliners when they bomb TWA Flight 840 in April of 1986 that killed 4 and the most tragic bombing, Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988, killing 259. America wants to treat these terrorist acts as crimes; in fact we are still trying to bring these people to trial. These are acts of war ... the Wake Up alarm is louder and louder.
The terrorists decide to bring the fight to America. In January 1993, two CIA agents are shot and killed as they enter CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia. The following month, February 1993, a group of terrorists are arrested after a rented van packed with explosives is driven into the underground parking garage of the World Trade Center in New York City. Six people are killed and over 1000 are injured. Still this is a crime and not an act of war? The Snooze alarm is depressed again.
Then in November 1995 a car bomb explodes at a US military complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia killing seven service men and women. A few months later in June of 1996, another truck bomb explodes only 35 yards from the US military compound in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. It destroys the Khobar Towers, a US Air Force barracks, killing 19 and injuring over 500.
The terrorists are getting braver and smarter as they see that America does not respond decisively. They move to coordinate their attacks in a simultaneous attack on two US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. These attacks were planned with precision, they kill 224. America responds with cruise missile attacks and goes back to sleep.
The USS Cole was docked in the port of Aden, Yemen for refueling on 12 October 2000, when a small craft pulled along side the ship and exploded killing 17 US Navy Sailors. Attacking a US War Ship is an act of war, but we sent the FBI to investigate the crime and went back to sleep.
And of course you know the events of 11 September 2001. Most Americans think this was the first attack against US soil or in America. How wrong they are. America has been under a constant attack since 1979 and we chose to hit the snooze alarm and roll over and go back to sleep.
In the news lately we have seen lots of finger pointing from every high official in government over what they knew and what they didn't know. But if you've read the papers and paid a little attention I think you can see exactly what they knew. You don't have to be in the FBI or CIA or on the National Security Council to see the pattern that has been developing since 1979. The President is right on when he says we are engaged in a war. I think we have been in a war for the past 23 years and it will continue until we as a people decide enough is enough.
America has to "Get out of Bed" and act decisively now. America has changed forever. We have to be ready to pay the price and make the sacrifice to ensure our way of life continues. We cannot afford to hit the Snooze Button again and roll over and go back to sleep. We have to make the terrorists know that in the words of Admiral Yamamoto after the attack on Pearl Harbor "that all they have done is to awaken a sleeping giant."
Thank you very much.

Kerry in 2008??? I think not.
A web site dedicated to the absurd notion of the traitor John Kerry running for president in 2008 has launched an attack
on the Bush administration's position on Global Warming.
They seem to think that the total and complete lack of evidence that human beings have any impact on the climate, and the fact that we've been coming out of an ice age for centuries means we should halt all scientific and industrial progress and live in grass huts, so the Chinese can eclipse our technology and invade us in a hundred years.
Grow up liberals. Science has demonstrated, much to your chagrin, that global warming is a myth concocted by tree hugging PETA liberals to scare us into a more primitive lifestyle.
Long live progress. Ling live America. God gave us this Earth, and the End Times are near. Why on EARTH would we want to hold back? So some oil is left in the ground on Judgment Day? Does Satan need the oil to start up the furnaces for the baby killing Democrats???

God is on his Side
"God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them." -- George W. Bush. October, 2005

LIMBAUGH: ...all of these moments in the past where we have questioned the left and its desire to see us victorious. And the left always says, "Are you attacking my patriotism? You are attacking my patriotism, you can't attack my patriotism." And everybody's always backed down. And everybody's always said, "No, no, no, no, I'm not attacking your patriotism. I'm questioning your judgment." Well, I think we - it's time to stop dancing around this issue, folks, to tell you the truth. It's time for somebody to tell the people on the left, you're damn right we're questioning your patriotism.

Repeal the 22nd Amendment
The only barrier to George W. Bush serving a historic third term in office, is the 22nd Amendment to the constitution, which limits presidents to two terms in office. It was originally passed to keep liberals like FDR from staying in power for too long.
Now, thankfully, there's a movement to repeal this amendment. The nation has changed, and the recent elections make it clear that Americans are no longer listening to the empty promises of Liberal politicians. The threat of another FDR has clearly passed, and it's time to stop restricting our presidents.
And congress agrees!

FDA set to ban gay men as sperm donors
FDA set to ban gay men as sperm donors
A damn good thing too.
I can't image any woman feeling comfortable with hearing the biological father of her child is a fag. Of course I don't approve of artificial fertilization to begin with as it's a form of adultery.
Another man's sperm is entering a woman's body. Either she's in essence copulating with a man not her husband or she's single and intending to have a child that will end up raised wither without a father or with a succession of step fathers or "mommy's boyfriends". Disgusting. Current Mood: chipper

More Clinton Waste
Years after the adulterer is out of office, we're still learning more and more about what his administration did. Compared to the morally bankrupt things he did, this example of waste
is fairly minor though.
There are people who want another Democrat in the White House. Can you imagine what would happen to spending if one of those liberals got back into power?
Dr. W. David Hager, slander victim
The liberal smear campaign against George W. Bush's staff continues. This time, Dr. W. David Hager is the victim of false accusations
by his ex wife about their sex life.
Hager and his wife have stunningly different views of why their marriage ended."In early 2002," Hager told the churchgoers that day, "my world fell apart.... After thirty-two years of marriage, I was suddenly alone in a new home that we had built as our dream home. Time spent 'doing God's will' had kept me from spending the time I needed to nourish my marriage."
His bitter ex wife on the other hand makes a number of disgusting accusations, accusing him of things best not described in public, if at all.
I recommend you read the article. She stayed in the marriage for 32 years, hardly something a rational woman would do if she was being abused. She also kept silent about the alleged violations after the divorce. If the accusation were true, you'd think she'd have come forward with them during the divorce.
When did she "come forward" about what she claims happened? When Dr. Hager spoke at college graduation ceremony that his ex wife was attending. She didn't say anything until jealousy over his success overwhelmed her.
It;s disgusting that one bitter woman can overthrow a man's career by making unsupported accusations that are in complete opposition to a man's known character.
What ever happened to being innocent until proven guilty? If you're a successful Christian male in this country, accused of anything involving sex it doesn't exist. He's been kicked off the government panel by his ex wife's lies.
That's what comes of marrying the wrong woman.

Liberal Media continues assault on President Bush
The Washington Post is running an editorial accusing President Bush of overreaching in his goals.Paying a Price for Overreaching
I think the accusations are absurd, and a quote in the article make it clear that the author, David S. Broder, is ignoring the evidence in order to push his agenda.the reelected chief executive had instilled a belief among his close associates that the bigger and bolder the goals they set for themselves, the more they would accomplish.
It's pretty clear that Bush expected a lot of these initiatives to fail, but wanted to go after everything. It's a common negotiating tactic to ask for more than you expect to get, and work for a compromise. The bigger Bush's goals, the more ballast he has to throw overboard during political wrangling to get what he wants. The more ballast the more you can get done.
If he was just going after the bare minimum he wanted, then he'd have nothing to throw "overboard" when the time came to hammer out the laws.
Mr Broder has clearly confused good negotiating tactics with overreaching, which tells me why he's a journalist wining about politics instead of participating in them.
